The Australian Teacher Education Association (ATEA) is the major professional association for teacher educators in Australia.

Our mission is to promote:

research as a core endeavour of teacher educators;
the continuing education of teachers and teacher educators; and
advocacy and support for the professionalism and expertise of teacher educators at local through to global scales.

Application for membership of the Association

From February 24, 2024 ATEA is Registered for GST. All Membership Fees will be GST Inclusive.

1. Member - $196.00 (AUD) Subscription period: 1 year No automatically recurring payments Standard Membership

2. Concessional Member - $96.00 (AUD) Subscription period: 1 year No automatically recurring payments Concessional member is defined as: Early Career Researcher, Sessional, Higher Degree by Research, unwaged, retired, within 5 years post PhD, or a school-based teacher educator.

3. Corporate Membership - $242.00 (AUD) Bundle (up to 25 members) Subscription period: 1 year No automatically recurring payments This membership level is for School-based and Early Childhood Educators only. Members covered under this level carry no voting rights, but are eligible for co-opted ATEA Executive positions.
NB: The applicant will be the designated contact person, known as the Bundle Administrator, and responsible for managing the membership. This includes paying the membership fees, advising who should be included under the membership level, and adding new members as they express interest in joining.
